I said I'd try to post about three times weekly and that's what seems to flow naturally. It also flows best if I don't try and stick to a specific pattern, I guess I never learned to color within the lines!
Some observations:
~ One bridge closure leading into the general downtown Los Angeles area can wreak unimaginable havoc. It sucks big time and has easily added 20 minutes to my morning commute.
~ How is it that a traffic cop thinks she can direct traffic from the curb?
~ Since when is it okay to fart in one's cubicle and simply laugh it off when busted? I work with a repeat offender and well, it's definitely not amusing me.
~ I've heard of being in a hurry but leaving one's panties in the stall just bewilders me.
How's your week panning out?
I live in Southern California and live the digital lifestyle. I love technology, engage in social networks and thanks to the Amazon Kindle enjoy reading again. I listen to many podcasts and am interested in the paranormal. I don't go ghost hunting or anything like that, but I love reading, viewing and listening to a great fright!

10 songs that sum up your weekend...or were on your weekend playlist...and one picture that relates back. (oh, and if you feel like it, tell us why you picked the songs you did)
Can anyplace make one feel more frenetic than Costco? Seriously. The entire place is a parking lot for shopping carts and no matter how wide the isle, there's never enough room to spare yourself the "crash cart derby". Yea, don't know what possessed us to shop there this weekend but there we were, held captive by the gigantic tentacles that are the check out stands.
It was a mash up weekend with awesome mixes of artists I wouldn't dream possible to mash. It's pulsating techno tunes that resonate in your chest and keep your mind thumping into to the night as you try to relax and drift to sleep.
~ Dr. Waumiau Gimme more Ddarlight or Hate Me
~ DJ D.I.M.F. Nightingale Calling in the Air Tonight
~ Luminoids Pretend We're Alala
~ Digitalism v. The Killers Idealistic Brightside Night
~ Pheugoo Loving You Better
~ Kyzer Zuke Block Rockin to Another
~ It's Britney *itch
~ DJ Clown She's a Model
~ Jay Kid v. Angie Stone Kidding on the Boogie
~ One Republic v. Bronski Beat Small Town Apology

10 Things That Were Better “Way Back When
~ Music Stores You could actually listen to excerpts from an entire album before buying it and there's nothing like doing it in the store with friends.
~ Watching movies in a theater when you paid one price and saw two films.
~ Riding a bicycle without having to wear a helmet.
~ Vinyl records that literally had grooves embedded from too much play. After one side finished, I had to get up and flip over the record or change it out.
~ Affordable concerts at small venues where bands would play for three or four consecutive nights and I could afford to buy souvenirs.
~ Childrens birthday parties where the party was about the kid and not the parents trying to outdo the others with fancier, more elaborate and expensive parties.
~ Amusement parks were a lot less expensive and a family of four could pay the admission, eat two meals and buy souvenirs for less than the $150 it costs just to enter the parks today.
~ Low gas prices which encouraged long drives just for the hell of it!
~ Stadium concerts with three top bands on the same bill at a reasonable price.
~ Independent bookstores where I knew the owner and they knew my taste and would recommend what to read. The musty odor of the volumes of books that lined the walls and you could meet a fellow book lover and just talk. Nowadays everyone has ear buds jammed in their ears!

I'm still Fighting...
...whatever it is everyone at work has and all my friends have. I've been drinking the fluids, sipping the Airborne and drinking shots of brandy at night. Last night I was so chilled I couldn't heat my internal body temperature, not even after three cups of piping hot tea.
I don't like being sick and did get my flu shot. After Saturday where I was surrounded by sickies, I knew they'd ganged up on me and sure enough Sunday wasn't fun. Just as I thought I'd succumbed, I awoke this morning feeling slightly better and renewed for another fight! LOL
It's an overcast and rainy day in Los Angeles, which is just fine with me since it sorta reflects how my friends feel. I am ready to head to Santa Monica and I won't be denied my visit to the store All About Music.

10 Movies That Disappointed You
~ Rob Zombie's remake of Black Christmas. The gore and plot were so over the top and such a departure from the original that it was a pathetic joke.
~ All About Schmidt It received good reviews and in the end was simply Nicholson being Jack Nicholson - what's the big deal?
~ Rush Hour 3 Chris Tucker should never - ever - be given an opportunity to sing in a film. His high falsetto voice is just too weird and bad.
~ Spiderman Take you pick of any of them, they're all super cheesy when it comes to the CGI and let's face it, the film ain't happening without CGI.
~ Collateral Tom Cruise is no hit man and he was definitely miscast. The studios must've been really desperate.
~ The Hoax A very boring drawn out film about an author who almost walked away with millions for writing the unauthorized biography of Howard Hughes.
~ Hook Robin Williams as Peter Pan?
~ Moulin Rouge! Why was this made?
~ Gigli
~ Waterworld

The weather in Los Angeles is absolutely spectacular! Yesterday we were at 75 degrees and today will reach highs of 80. It's so grand that the freeways are crowded with folks traveling and wanting to be outdoors. I am about to join them so I wish you all a fantastic Sunday!

A Day in My Life
The rain did arrive and continued throughout the weekend. We enjoyed a challenge of Rummikub as we cat sat our neighbor's cat Emmitt. I then continued playing Rummy Squares against the computer and won my best hand ever at expert level! Yeah, I was definitely jazzed about that.
It was a weekend to stay off the street and indoors and we were happy to do it. I listened to several podcasts which is necessary since I have to keep up. We also watched the remake of Halloween 2007 and Saw 3, both are horror flicks that managed to make my skin crawl. LOL

Happy New Year!
My new year's eve was very quiet. We dined in on delicious pot roast and sparkling pear juice, watched Next starring Nicolas Cage and simply enjoyed each other's company as we relaxed in the warmth and comfort of our home.
Looking back I realize just how badly I dropped the ball on this blog. I really felt uninspired most of the time and it's reflected in the lack of photos I snapped. The camphone is so convenient but its quality poor. My favorite camera died and I know this dampened my enthusiasm.
Buddah's illness also kept us very busy with treatment and appointments and emotionally I was just to worried and exhausted. In between melodrama among co-workers further zapped my energy and passion.
So for 2008 I will challenge myself to complete three memes per week and contribute one photo weekly. I need to survey my surroundings and find one thing daily to inspire me to share with you. We're all surrounded by multitudes of people and situations, so how is it that I was uninspired for most of 2007?
