Funky Laptop Bags

Shopped at Bed, Bath & Beyond and took a really good look at what BBB sells. I was surprised to find a wide variety of laptop cases in cool colors and designs. We have come a loonng way!

Of course, I didn't get out of there without spending $100. I bought another Ott brand natural light desk lamp, it's getting harder on my eyes to read the computer screen without additional lighting.

I also needed a new bath rug, didn't want some tacky shag rug, but $25? And I needed cleaning supplies and Maison Pomegranate candles or fragrant beads. So this morning I am a happy camper!

Why I Love L.A.!

Even with impending rain and winds, I look out and see gorgeous palm trees. Perfect song playing in the background No Doubt's It's My Life. This is MY Los Angeles!

Whose nasty napkin is this?

Someone left this crap ass napkin on a desk in my unit. None of us use this ho red lipstick, but we suspect it's BJ's.

So I've been trying to mobile post with the new 2.0 megapixel camphone and do not find my posts. :-(

Why, hell if I know. Could be because I was sending them as text messages. I'm now submitting this as a photo message and hope something shows. Otherwise, all mobile posts are toast and I'm totally screwed.

I'm liking the new phone a lot, especially the keyboard which is full Qwerty. The photo quality is much improved and the video's damn good too! The single rose is from the sole male employee in my department. He bought a rose for each gal, which totals a half dozen, and made everyone's day with his thoughtfulness!

Random Ten

Had a fabulous time at my first live Bull Riding competition. I've never seen so many cowboys at one time and the bulls well, they're even bigger than what you think they look like on T.V. It's amazing how humongous and fast they are. One bull was butting his head backwards attempting to stab the rider with his horns. Pretty scary stuff and I have no desire to even try a mechanical bull!

They gave away schwag like free t-shirts, as well as cowboy hats and tickets to the finals in Vegas in October. What I thought was really neat is how they included spectators from all levels of the arena by inserting the schwag in an air gun that shot the stuff clear to the nose bleed levels. Now I would have loved to try firing that! LOL

Fake I.D.

When making a fake ID, remember to attach a picture of yourself only...

...no matter how much you love your girl.

A Day in My Life

We started the day with brunch at our favorite teahouse in Santa Monica, CA. After we strolled around The Promenade on a very clear blustery day that was perfect for encouraging brisk walking! LOL Walking fast gives the illusion of warmth and doesn't give the brain time to register how crazy you are for being out and about. We took time for a steaming cup of joe and threw down the gauntlet for a Rummikub match. Finally we topped it off with an $80 shopping spree at Borders Bookstore. We bought the boxed sets of Supernatural Season Two and Torchwood, love 40% discount coupons.

Teller paints portrait of bank robber

IMMORTALIZED: Bank teller Nicholas Wildermuth's portrait of the suspect who robbed him.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - The picture of a bank robbery suspect isn't the work of a police sketch artist. It was done by bank teller Nick Wildermuth. He's also an artist and his watercolor portrait depicts the man who held him up. Deputies in Orange County, California, report the painting is a good match to a suspect seen on the bank's security video. The painting shows a bearded, middle aged man, wearing a coat and ski hat. Authorities have dubbed him the "Hobo Bandit." The painting is going on display tomorrow at a downtown L.A. art gallery. The gallery owner says it's a "really spooky, interesting picture."
