It's time to get back into gear and I don't know which is harder: getting into vacation mode or into work mode. It can take me up to two weeks to feel like I'm on vacation, but this year was different. Thanks to Boo I fell right into lounge mode and merrily remained. I'm even struggling to get into "blog mode" because, even though I constantly have ideas about what to share/write, committing it to print is different from mulling it in my head.

Chiminea

Sometime ago we bought an outdoor fire pit that was rather bulky and cumbersome to deal with. We never lit it and it's been relegated to the garage. Boo came upon this chiminea at Kohl's and told me about it only after we'd been cruising Hollyweird.

We agreed on what we were willing to spend, returned to Kohl's to find the price and bought it - despite it exceeding what we'd agreed upon. LOL

Once assembled Boo wanted to fire it up and I was too lazy to go to the store. I finally agreed and we bought treated fireplace logs. It's kind of hard to find dried firewood at 8:30 p.m. in Southern California.

I am so glad that I changed my mind because last night was crisp and perfect for an outdoor fire in our terrace.

We garnered a few stares from passersby as the fire really "lit up the area" and illuminated everything else quite well! Mostly, it was just wonderful to see the happy and proud expression on Boo's face.

Where Sunset & Hollywood meet @ Hillhurst. We've been driving around in search of a specific frame store that directory assistance doesn't acknowledge exist. Meanwhile, we've been "cruising" Hollyweird Bl. for awhile only to park in front of a frame store and find that it is the store we've been searching for!?! Why couldn't we find it? Maybe because the business merged and uses an entirely different business name!
