Whew, the week's been breezing past and I can't seem to catch my breath! So my nephew and I have been emailing each other about a site update. He's a musician - a damn fine guitarist if you ask me - and he wants to add streaming video and lessons to his site. He has a student who does web design, who's offered to help him out with the makeover.
So I've enjoyed our email exchanges and exploring what functions should be added and which ones are best left alone for now, because they require too much monitoring or updating. It's amazing what things come up when you start giving serious consideration to something.
I had a fabulous birthday. My friends and co-workers treated me to lunch at a terrific restaurant called Yang Chows in Chinatown. We had a lot of food - I know, what else is new. A whole lot of chatter and a lot of capping on each other! Later, we had cake and ice cream, as if we hadn't already eaten enough!
But wait....I then departed work and joined my mom and spouse for dinner at Chevys in Burbank. Eat, eat, eat! That's all I've done all day....eat. Luckily for me, Chevys had quesadilla's and that's what I ordered because I was still too full. My spouse, also quite full, had the same thing, but my mom....she broke out with chicken enchilladas! Macy's could hire me to be one of the balloons. I had a great birthday and don't regret a moment of it!
I did, however, miss talking to my niece. We talk on the phone almost daily and lately I've been unavailable due to a special project I'm engrossed in. We did finally speak late in the afternoon and I was happy, because that just made my day. Of course, the early morning voice mail my nephews left singing me Happy Birthday, got my day off to a wonderful start!
