Post from Backyard

Initially I went wireless to accomodate the notebook computer in the dining room. I figured why run wires through the house if we didn't have to. Makes sense, right? So we came across an antique find this afternoon and Boo was outside cleaning and preparing it for eBay, when it occurred to me "why can't I be outside too with the notebook?" I didn't really consider the range of the wireless router and thought of it more as a joke.

Well, here I sit typing from my backyard, Boo still polishing and buffing our find and Buddah wandering around being the big he man hunter gatherer. I confess that this is totally awesome and making me grin from ear to ear. The wireless signal is coming through strong and I'm feeling the breeze gently blow my hair. The freedom of wireless is indescribable! LOL

In other news, we ran errands today and took my mom grocery shopping. Anytime my mom says she's just picking up a few items, you know it's going to be a major shopping excursion. My sis cringes when mom utters this phrase. Boo, is Boo....there's always something or someway of occupying one's time and Boo excels at it and is very easy going.

All the firework stands are open and I see smatterings of people buying them. I had a chance to buy some illegal ones last week at a darned good price/quantity ratio. I skipped the temptation and held on to my money. First, I don't want me or anyone else to lose a limb or eyesight over an "accident". Second, I don't want to burn anyone's house down, either. The safe and sane fireworks are scary enough for me. We won't buy any this year. We didn't last year and didn't miss a thing!
