Whew!
I needed a break and have been busy taking "care of business". My spouse's daughter is visiting, so we spent time together and had a wonderful time. I was very happy for my spouse because I know moments like these are special and cherished.
I've been preoccupied with a lot of stuff that's going on at work (not good) and trying not to stress over other challenges in life. It sometimes gets to be overwhelming and that's where I'm at right now - feeling overwhelmed.
I live in Southern California and live the digital lifestyle. I love technology, engage in social networks and thanks to the Amazon Kindle enjoy reading again. I listen to many podcasts and am interested in the paranormal. I don't go ghost hunting or anything like that, but I love reading, viewing and listening to a great fright!

What's on Right now
What's On your clock Right Now? (Please, don't just tell us what time it is; describe your clock!! Ok?) We had a new clock installed at work and it's a round clock with a faux wood finish with large numbers in black. The second hand is gold and everyone swears it contains a hidden camera, because of its strategic location in the office. LOL
Wednesday Whatevers
1. Does time pass by too quickly? Always, especially when having fun. However at work, it's endless.
2. Can money buy happiness? No, it can buy comfort and security, but not happiness.
3. Is freedom of speech a privilege or a right? In many countries it's a privilege. Supposedly, it's a right in the USA, though, the times sure have changed under the present regime.

RE: Blogs
1. Have you ever reached the point where you just want to stop blogging - but don’t? What are the reasons and feelings that bring you to those feelings? Blog Boredom? Blog Frustration? Blog Over-Dose? Not quite, although, I suspect it taper off substantially as the weather heats up. I won't want to be sitting at the computer. I'll want to be out and about enjoying myself and taking photos! Fall and winter are the best seasons to blog because I become very introspective during this period and it's getting cold outside, etc.
2. Do you blog from work? Does it make you paranoid - - or doesn’t it bother you?
No. I would never ever blog from work. I like to keep things separate and I wouldn't want any forensic evidence laying around. No one from work knows that I blog. I don't feel the need to share this with co-workers. It's my private space and I like to keep it that way.
3. RE: locations - - where DO you blog from? I either blog from my home office or notebook computer at my dining table. Both are equipped with everything I need - card reader, Palm charger/synching device, CDRW, etc.
4. RE: Blog Meme’s - - share a few of your favorites here. Regrettably, I've started answering memes and this can be quite addictive! LOL It sure makes it easier to provide blog content, though. I foresee me tapering off the memes and providing original content as the season changes. As for a list of memes I regularly participate in, just look along the left side of my blog. They're neatly listed.

Weekend Wonderings
1. If you found out that you had an advanced stage of an illness (say something like cancer) and only had a few months to live, what would be your first thought? Do I have my personal and financial affairs in order? Those that need improvement, would receive my immediate attention. I would spend more time with family and friends and not sweat the small stuff.
2. If you had three days to do anything at all you wanted to do what would you do? I'd travel along the coast with my spouse and just have a great time. There'd be no travel agenda, just the freedom to vagabond for three days and see where we'd end up.
3. What do you think of assisted suicide? Is it humane? Should doctors/people who assist people in killing themselves be charged with murder? I've been in a situation where the person suffered greatly. When someone's experiencing nothing but pain, discomfort and unahppiness and asks to be freed from their illness/affliction, I think assisted suicide is the most humane act you can do.
Who wants to prolong their loved one's suffering? Who benefits from it? The surviving family and friends who can't/won't let go. Your loved one is suffering, for God's sake, help them. Those that perform the procedure should not be charged with murder, especially when the patient has asked to be freed from their misery.

3x Thursday:: Moving Sucks
1. Do you like moving? Why/Why not? No. It's so much work and stressful. I am not a good mover or packer. I once knew someone who'd moved six times in the 7 years I knew her.
2. Since you've moved out of your parents house, how many places have you lived in? Do you like to move from place to place, or do you just like to settle? I defitnitely like to settle and have moved only three times since leaving my mom.
3. What's the best part of moving? What's the worst? Cleaning out a lot of stuff no longer used. It's a fresh start at the new place. The worst is the packing and physical act of moving.
Bonus Question for Comments: If you could hire a mover, would you? Why/why not? I hired movers the last two moves and it was still stressful. Albeit, a lot less stress on the back!
Thursday Threesome
::Capricious: Governed or characterized by impulse or whim, lacking rational basis or likely to change suddenly::
Onesome: Characterized by impulse--Do you you consider yourself impulsive or do you tend to think everything through before you make a move? I'm a thinker so, everything's given careful consideration.
Twosome: lacking rational basis--If you are impulsive, do you rationalize and justify your actions? Like, since that item you bought on a whim was on sale, you really saved money by buying it? Absolutely!
Threesome: or likely to change suddenly-- When you make up your mind, does it stay made up or do you tend to change your mind at the last minute? ...or do you waffle back and forth until you're forced to decide? My decision is final.

Daily Dirt
Dreams...
1. What do you think dreams mean? Do you think they predict the future? It's our way of trying to work out what's troubling us emotionally, mentally or sub-consciously. Our mind isn't processing because we're asleep, so our innermost concerns rise to the top. I don't think dreams predict anything.
2. Do animals have dreams? Yes. My cat dreams and as he does, he meows, moves and has involuntary muscle spasms.
3. Do celebrities have dreams about normal things/people? Please, of course. They're nothing special or different.
4. What do you dream about? I haven't dreamt. Don't know why, I just haven't.
5. Do you dream up musicals (dreams with music)? Yes, my dreams have sound, color and if it's breezy in my dream, I'll feel cold.
Wednesday Whatevers
1. Do you wear your seatbelt? Absolutely. It's a lifesaver.
2. When do / did you graduate high school?
3. How often do you get mail? Email is received daily. Snail mail rarely.
What's on Right now?
Ok, everyone should be able to answer this one........Have a wonderful Wednesday!!
What's On your desktop Right Now? Mug of hot tea, photos of my spouse, Buddah, nephews and godson. Miniature Buddha, a plant, sundry office supplies, and a lava lamp!

Random Questions; Random Days
What is something you wish you were better at doing? I wish I was better at taking photos. I wish I was better at maintaining contact with friends. I wish I was better at posting original blog content.
Tuesday Twosome
When on vacation, I prefer:
1. "Flying by plane" or "Riding in a car" Riding in car for distances two states removed. Any place farther and I need wings!
2. "Staying with friends/relatives" or "Hotel, hotel, hotel" Hotel. I can keep my own schedule and relax when I wish.
3. "Packaged tour" or "Plan it on my own" Depends: foreign travel requires tour package. Within the States, I'll plan my own.
4. "I want to get as far away from home as possible" or "Not more than a day drive away" I prefer to stay home.
5. "A week or more is a true vacation" or "I want to be home within a week" When traveling, a week or more is preferable.
Ten on Tuesday
Ten Things You Look for in a Mate
1. Good sense of humor
2. Sensitive
3. Good Personality
4. Hard worker
5. Down to earth
6. Smart
7. Good common sense
8. Animal lover
9. Positive attitude
10. Expressive
Hey, this is my spouse!
TV Tuesday
Infomercials
"But wait, there’s more!"
2004 is the 20th anniversary for the infomercial. The first acknowledged informercial was for Herbalife, a weight loss supplement in the fall of 1984. From real estate investments to fitness equipment, and kitchen gadgets, infomercials played to the tune of $154 billion in sales last year.
But celebrities beware - Cher’s star status was chewed apart after appearing in an infomecial for hair care products, and Dionne Warwick’s Psychic Friends Network sent her image from classy to kooky. Who could forget Susan Powter: Stop the insanity!
1. Do you watch infomercials? Be honest now! LOL Now why would you admonish me to be honest? I'm always honest! Uh, yeah, I've watched them on occasion. They're actually entertaining in a funky sort of way.
2. What's your favorite infomercial or infomercial product? Oh come on, this should be everyone's favorite, the Ginsu Knife. I loved all the fast and fancy chopping, the cutting of a nail removed from wood (to prove its authenticity!), then slicing a tomato. LOL
3. Have you ever bought anything from an infomercial? If so, what was it? Er...well, I happen to have three Ginsu's in my arsenal, though, I don't know how they got here. I never ordered them. Nor did I order the grater that grates everything in its path, including your knuckles. And the car washer, replete with handle extension and rotating scrubber, that also appeared on my doorstep. I have very friendly and well meaning neighbors.
~Bonus~ What's the stupidest (most annoying, most worthless) infomercial you've ever seen? The guy who's bald, sprays his head and now has a full head of hair. LOL LOL Just don't try this in the winter.
What is something you wish you were better at doing? I wish I was better at taking photos. I wish I was better at maintaining contact with friends. I wish I was better at posting original blog content.

4. "I want to get as far away from home as possible" or "Not more than a day drive away" I prefer to stay home.

eBay
I have so much stuff that I'd like to sell on eBay, but lack the experience and time to do. I've tried perusing eBay several times and always feel overwhelmed. It's like entering the Mall of America without a directory or the maps one can find everywhere. Without a map, how would anyone know where to begin, let alone, return to find their car?! LOL So, I've perused eBay, gotten a headache and moved on to other sites. I readily admit to not having time to bid often to win. I sure can't sit around and counter bid during the day or awaken in the wee hours of the night to bid before the final minute.
I've heard of new businesses that will photograph your merchandise, write the ad, post the bid, and monitor the auction for a set fee or a percentage of the final sale. And, for the most part, I've been intrigued. I don't know anyone who's tried this option and up to now, the nearest business to me has been in Long Beach, some 25 miles south of me.
Well, while sitting at a red light, looking dazed and confused I'm sure, I saw the isold it billboard. This in itself is pretty remarkable for me, because I rarely look at billboards. I guess, I treat them like spam! So when my eyes focused and I realized it's in my backyard, I was thrilled beyond belief! I drove home mentally cataloguing the items I want to sell and figuring out which ones should go first. I'll let you know my experience after the first successful auction. Meanwhile, if any of you have experience, please share.

Random Questions; Random Days
Are you following any of the sensational trials going on right now? (i.e. Peterson and Bryant) No, who has time? I barely have enough time to catch the weather report. I hear snippets about each trial, but not enough to engage in conversation. If I knew I would have the time to view the tapes nightly, I would tape Court TV's coverage of the Peterson trial.

Weekend Wonderings
1. Do you have any pets? If so what kind? I have an adorable Siamese cat (indoors) and two furry cats who adopted me (outdoors).
2. What kind of pets have you had? The usual, cats and dogs. My mom's a huge dog lover, so that's mostly what we had growing up.
3. What kind of pets would you like to have? I would love to have a horse and my spouse would love a pygmy goat or pot bellied pig!

2. What kind of pets have you had? The usual, cats and dogs. My mom's a huge dog lover, so that's mostly what we had growing up.
3. What kind of pets would you like to have? I would love to have a horse and my spouse would love a pygmy goat or pot bellied pig!

Random Questions; Random Days
complete the following: "I'm different from all my friends because..." When I first read this question I was seized with the impossiblity of answering it. How should I know why I'm different from all of my friends? Then it hit me like a lightning bolt....I've always been the geek among them. Always. I'm the only one that blogs. I have some friends who have been emailing for only a year or so, I can't fathom that! LOL

Thursday Threesome
::Things that go bump in the night::
Onesome: Things that go- What's the strangest contraption you've ever had to use to get from point A to point B?
Twosome: Bump- Have you ever hurt yourself doing something you weren't supposed to be doing?
Threesome: In the night- Do you believe in things that go bump in the night or anything supernatural?
Daily Dirt
What...
1. ...is the first thing you think of when you wake up? Ugh, what time is it?
2. ...are the first two things you think of when you read the word "friends"? Fun and laughter.
3. ...are the top three things in your wish list? Good health and happiness for my loved ones, peace among nations, continued employment.
4. ...are the four food groups according to you? Meat, fruits & vegetables, Dairy and dessert!
5. ...are the five reasons why you like growing up? Opportunity to be a positive and productive contributor in society, I get to live in my own place, can do what I want with my money - I almost said allowance!, get to do things my way, I can drive!
3x Thursday: : roommates
1. Have you ever had a roommate? If so, do you like living with other people, or would you rather have your own space? I have and it was one of the most difficult times of my life. It's hard to live with someone who has a different ethic of neatness and cleanliness. Then there's the issue of bringing people home and that's a whole other set of drama!
2. If you've had roommates, got any horror stories? If not, if you had to, would you get a roommate, or get a 2nd job to pay for rent? My roommate Y., from eons ago, had a penchant for picking up guys wherever. And I do mean, wherever. She knew absolutely nothing of their background, where they lived, last name - nothing. I spent many a sleepless night keeping vigil, as this was during the Hillside Strangler serial killer spree in the Los Angeles area.
To this day, I often wonder if Y. is alive. Her promiscuity preceded awareness of the AIDS virus and I have no doubt, that many of her conquests were less than conscious of safe, responsible sex. She once brought home a guy she'd met at a matinee and had sex with in the theater. We didn't last long, I think it was four or six months. I couldn't take it and we were always at odds. I'd get a second job or a smaller, more affordable place.
3. Describe the ideal roommate. Me! Of course, this applies only when rooming with myself.
Bonus Question for Comments: What *is* it about having one's own space that is so appealing? Knowing that when you go home, your place will be just as you left it. No parties ongoing, no added mess, no funky personality to deal with, no added drama.

2. What actor has best portrayed the role of world's worst father? Name the actor and the film. Can't think of anyone!

Happy Father's day to all of you fathers out there.

Wednesday Whatevers
1. Do you think out loud? Sometimes. I try not to do it too often...don't want folks thinking I've lost it!
2. What color pen do you prefer to write in? Purple. However, for business, I prefer black.
3. How would you describe your voice? Medium pitch. It's not too high and it's not low - thank God.
What's on Right now?
What's On your 'vanity license plate' (otherwise known as personalized license plate) Right Now? (If you were to have one?) I sure don't have one. Let's see....what would it say if I did.... 2L8 or BackOff or Sati (mindfulness). I like BackOff because I seem to attract tailgaters!

Ten Worst Fashion Mistakes
Admit it. At least once in your life you've given in to a trend that you look back on now and think to yourself, 'What the hell was I thinking wearing that?' So here's your chance to share your shame...
1) maroon colored eyeglasses
2) hot pink colored Reebok aerobic shoes in public
3) shimmery, flourescent colored spandex outfits in daylight
4) permed my hair...I looked like the burning bush!
5) wearing eyeglasses that auto tinted in daylight. Problem is, they always mistook night for day!
6) platform boots
7) very big hair
8) Michael Jackson tennis shoes with buckles galore
9) short hair - on foggy days I looked like a cotton ball
10) bomber jacket
The one thing that many think is a huge fashion faux pas, but I love and make no apologies about is ...... my birkis!!

Tuesday Twosome
Let's go swimming...
1. "Beach, Baby!" or "Pool, please"? Pool, please. I go to the beach to walk around, enjoy the ocean breeze, etc. I don't get into the contaminated water!
2. "Check me out!" or "Does anyone have a tent I can wear?" Does anyone have a tent. I've never been one for attracting attention to myself.
3. "Deep end of the pool" or "Floaties are my friend" Oooh, floaties are my best friends!
4. "SPF 45, hat and glasses, please" or "Tan, tan, tan" Right down the middle; not too much tanning oil, but I'm not digging the pasty look, either.
5. "I like to people watch" or "Hand me a book and leave me alone." People watching is the most fun, especially couples. Usually one person is very neat and the other crumpled and disheveled or just a plain slob.
TV Tuesday
Since Father's Day is this Sunday I thought this week would be a good chance to explore TV Dads! TV Moms got their chance and now it's Dad's turn! So in honor of all those hard working and lovable dads out there, this one's for you! :)
1. Which TV Dad would you have most liked to have for your own dad? On the flipside, who was the TV Dad you'd have least liked to have had? Mr. Brady would have been the most understanding and down to earth dad. I could do without Archie Bunker.
2. Who do you consider the most realistic TV Dad? Who did you consider simply too good to be true? The dad in Family (Matthew Broderick's real life dad) was very realistic, while Ward Cleaver was too good and perfect to be true.
3. Let's play a little Dad word association, what's the first word that comes to mind when you see the following names:
George Jetson :: geek
Cliff Huxtable :: who?
Dan Conner :: goofy
Gomez Addams :: funky
Archie Bunker :: bigot
Jed Clampett :: humble
Ward Cleaver :: phony
Tony Micelli :: cool
Ozzie Nelson :: family man
Homer Simpson :: drool

Thereafter, this song was associated with tragedy and loss.
4. In the mood for love? What songs make you feel all warm and fuzzy? Songs by artists' Anita Baker, Toni Braxton, Barry White, George Benson and Alicia Keyes.
5. What song best describes the mood that you're in right now? Kiss' Rock N Roll All Night

1. Most of us pay for hosting our domains in which to blog on - - however, under what circumstances would you shell out hard earned cash so that you can use the blogging platform (i.e. your blogging application). Considering Movable Type’s recent license fees - - would you? If yes, why - - If no, why not?
I don't know that I would pay. I'd search for a new program and free host.
2. RE: Linkage - - I’ve seen many a trick to increase traffic and ratings in certain ecosystem offerings. For example - a few I’ve seen have one or two domains as a mirror to their main one and register all domains with TTLB - - so every post that you make is mirrored on the ’secondary domain’ - and each post is linked to the ‘primary domain’ which is recorded by the ecosystem as an inbound link….which could, for examle, bring your inbound links from 100 to 400 - depending. Do you have methods you use to ‘trick’ the ecosystem to skew your results to give you a higher rating? Care to share them? What tricks do you use?
To my knowledge, no one links to my sites, which is just fine with me. Very few family members and friends know about my blogs. I maintain them because it's fun and I enjoy it. Whether or not I can be found via a search engine is a good question. I haven't tried and it's not a goal.
3. RE: Templates - - show off some of your extra add-ons you’ve been working on with your templates. What’cha been up to, huh? huh?
I'm constantly tweaking here and there, though, many changes are not perceptble. They're more 'behind the scenes'. I've been thinking about personalizing it more with a Books Reading, New Music or Geek Purchases section.
4. RE: Other blogs - - Show us some of the newer blogs you’ve linked to recently, in the past week, or so. We all like seeing new blogs and fresh material. Who are they - and why’d ya link ‘em? I don't link others blogs; I only link to meme sites.

Daily Dirt
Looks...
1. Do you care about looks? Not really, I'm more into what's upstairs.
2. Do you like the way you look? I'm comfortable. I'm no raving beauty, but then, I'm surrounded by real people, so I fit in.
3. What do you see first when you look at some one? Their teeth. I have a thing about teeth. Especially people in front of the boob tube, fix/straighten your teeth!
4. Do you judge your friends based on looks? Absolutely not. I observe how they treat others, especially servers, etc. and animals.
5. If some one looked mean would you take the chance to get to know them? Yes I would. Farrah, a nickname for a co-worker who could not stop looking at herself in the mirror, would never greet anyone. I greet everyone. So I would continually greet her each morning and she would grunt very loudly, give me mean looks, or just flat out ignore me. I never stopped greeting her until the day I moved on to another department.

saturday-8:: smorgasboard!!!
this week's sat-8 doesn't have a clear theme as not much is immediately clear in the authoress' life. here we go!
1. my 8-year marriage broke up five months ago, and yet i still find myself crying nearly every day about it. what was your longest relationship that broke up, and how long did it take you to stop grieving the loss? This doens't apply to me. Thankfully, I've never been in this situation.
2. a new hybrid cat, the savannah, was featured on cbs this morning. an african serval in bred with a 'regular' housecat. this results in a 30-lb. housecat that will 'fetch,' like to play in water, and also cost $6K and UP. does this kind of exotic cat appeal to you? why or why not? No. All of my fur companions have been regular animals, never pure breds and they've always had the best personalities and characters. I don't need the fancy certificate to prove status.
3. i mistakenly thought that father's day was THIS sunday (tomorrow). i express-mailed my dad's gift because the mail didn't run due to the reagan remembrance crap going on, spending $15 i didn't need to. when was the last time you missed or pre-sent a gift for a holiday or someone's birthday/anniversary? Last September I forgot a close friend's birthday.
4. it's hotter than hades in orlando, and yesterday we got up to 96 degrees. i'm chugging sweet tea like it's going out of style. when it warms up, what is your beverage of choice? My beverage of choice is iced tea, strawberry lemonade or water. BTW, I'm ready to start chugging, so the temps need to increase!
5. due to the breakup of my marriage and stress from grad school, i've lost over 10 lbs. and need to purchase new shorts for the summer. where is your favourite place to purchase summer wear, and what do you like to buy there? I buy a lot from QVC and love to buy caprice and shorts.
6. i recently purchased my favourite spanish-language films, "like water for chocolate." i am SO excited to add this to my collection. what is your favourite foreign-language film, and why do you like it so much? Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown by Pedro Amaldovar. It's a Spanish-language film about women whose lives revolve around the same man, only they don't know it!
7. my lawn mower is broken, and it's been raining like crazy for a week so my grass needs attention in the worst way. where you live, who takes care of the grass? you? your spouse? a professional company? A gardner and thank God! LOL
8. reagan and ray charles died recently. it is said that celebrities die in 3s (and i count reagan as a celeb because he was first an actor, then a politician). even though this is morbid, who do you think will be next? I'm not sure who's left!

I'm not sure who's left!
saturday-8:: smorgasboard!!!
this week's sat-8 doesn't have a clear theme as not much is immediately clear in the authoress' life. here we go!

Friday Four
Games
1. Favorite card game and why? Uno because it's easy and fun for everyone and plays fast. My godsons can play and feel they're on equal ground with the bigger kids and adults!
2. Favorite video game and why? Mario Kart because it's fun, entertaining and cute. I like PacMan equally for the same reason. They're also not violent! Easy play for young gamers.
3. Favorite board game and why? Scrabble and Pictionary. Scrabble because it's a word game that makes you think and expand your vocabulary. Pictionary because it's like charades, only with drawings and it's so much fun!
4. Favorite any-other-type-of-game and why? Boggle because it's quick and challenging. Most adults enjoy playing this, which is rare in my circle!

3x Thursday: Stepping Out on Your Own
1. How old were you when you left your parents' house? Was it by choice or by force? I was twenty and it was by choice.
2. Did you go to college? If so, did you live in the dorms? If not, what was your housing like? I did go to college, though, not immediately after high school. I lived in an apartment and was very content.
3. What was the scariest thing about moving out on your own? How did you overcome it? I don't recall feeling scared. I was very sad because my mom had tears in her eyes when she told me goodbye. My heart sank and I cried all the way home.
Bonus Question for Comments: If you could live in any structure (house, apartment, etc) what would it be? Why? Sometimes, I think a condo would be best, because the grounds are maintained by the association. On the other hand, there are so many bylaws, it's ridiculous and the homeowners association wields so much power.

Daily Dirt
Odd habits...
1. Do you talk in your sleep? Um, I don't think so.
2. Do you talk to yourself? That I do. I haven't answered myself yet!
3. Do you sleepwalk? No.
4. Do you snore? When I'm dead tired I snore.
5. Any other interesting habits? I have to personally check all the doors and make certain they're locked.

Wednesday Whatevers
1. Do you prefer happy or sad endings, and why? It doesn't matter, I like both as long as it's true to the story. A good example is the Lord of the Ring Trilogy. In the end, we find that some of the main characters didn't live happily ever after.
2. What is the most annoying thing about computers? It's the OS that's the problem. Poor coding causes many hang ups and crashes with indecipherable explanations. Thank you, Microsoft!
3. Who has the biggest influence on the world now? Lobbyists hired by large corporations to further their agenda. It'all about money!
Random Questions; Random Days
Start with a warm day and add some high humidity! Throw in thundershowers in the evening and you have a typical Michigan summer day. What's the weather like in your neighborhood? We're in the throes of June gloom and I'm not enjoying it. I wish for temps above 85 degrees and the blazing sun in full glory! We have the coastal Eddy effect in the morning and our temps in the low 70s. If it clears up, we barely reach 75 degrees. Our evenings still cool down to the mid 50s, so I still need blankets.

![](http://photos1.blogger.com/img/17/897/400/Combo%20Housing.jpg)
I've noticed an increase in residential/commercial housing developments in the downtown areas of suburbia. I believe this is more prevalent in Europe, but I think it's a neat idea and I would consider living in the dual space. It's certainly convenient for shopping and commuting to work. Public transportation is literally at your door! It will be interesting to see if this concept takes off in the Los Angeles area.
Random Questions; Random Days
What is an accomplishment that you are proud of? My marriage and the quality of our relationship. Do we have our ups and downs, sure, but overall, we're equally committed to making it work and we have love and respect for each other and our relationship. I have an equal partner who does care and works at maintaining it. We'll celebrate 25 years next March.

Tuesday Twosome
Regrets and Letting go...
What are the first two things you do:
1. When you are lied to? I think about WHY the person lied. What could be so important that they felt the need to lie. Why would the lie be preferable to the truth?
2. When you make a mistake? Become angry and impatient with myself. If my mistake affects others, I fess up.
3. When you embarrass yourself in public? Usually laugh and say "Doh!".
4. When you see someone make a fool of themselves? Wonder what their source of pain is.
5. When you realize you have hurt someone (emotionally)? Apologize....sincerely apologize without excuses or explanations. I feel so bad when I hurt another's feelings. Life is tough enough, we shouldn't hurt our friends and loved ones.
TV Tuesday
Daytime Talk TV
From the tame and elegant setting of Oprah to the wild and crazy brawls of Jerry Springer daytime talk TV has a little bit of everything. They've got make-overs, psychics, paternity suits and things you'd rather not know about but their ratings are through the roof!! Like them or hate them they're part of TV culture.
1. Do you watch daytime talk TV? If so, which shows do you watch? Do you prefer the calm shows like Oprah or the wilder side like Jerry Springer? On the rare occasion when I'm home on a weekday, I watch Animal Planet, QVC/HSN shopping channels or Ellen.
2. Which daytime talk TV show would you like to be on? What would the topic be? Ellen. The topic could be anything.
3. Is there a daytime talk TV show you miss that's no longer on the air? Is there someone you'd like to see get a daytime talk TV show? I miss the Rosie O'Donnell show. Her spirit and sincerity about causes she believed in and guests she was in awe of was unique. I think Margaret Cho would be a great talk show host.
~Bonus~ Before talk TV took over game shows ruled the airways during the day, which do you prefer? Or are you a soap opera fan? Game shows. At the very least, I could play along or learn as I watched. Most of the talk shows are trash TV with no redeeming qualities for me. I don't care that this mother sleeps with her daughter's boyfriend or that husband's having sex with his mother AND sister - in laws.

Ten on Tuesday
What annoys you the most when you're on the road?
1. Drivers who ride my bumper when I'm already doing 70. God forbid I should have to suddenly brake!
2. Drivers talking on their cell phone. One hand on the wheel, the other with cell phone to ear.
3. Drivers shaving, applying make up, watching TV or reading while driving. All of these I've witnessed, I'm not making this up or exaggerating.
4. Drivers in the carpool lane with no passengers. I've only had the pleasure twice of seeing the CHP pull a driver over.
5. Drivers who make California Stops. That's when the vehicle does not come to a complete stop. It's more a slow motion rolling stop.
6. Drivers who cut off motorists due to impatience and inconsiderateness.
7. Honkers. Everyone has somewhere to go, that's why we're on the road like you. The light's just turned green. Inhale and chill, it's only a second!
8. See the crosswalk? It's for pedestrians. Don't block their path and then honk at them because you're paranoid they might touch your car, as they maneuver around it.
9. Repeat brakers. They brake because they thought they saw fly whiz past, because the breeze blew leaves off of tree, because - well, just because.
10. Lookie loos...folks, the accident/citation/auto breakdown has already occurred. Do your part and just keep driving, please. There's no need to brake/slow down to 10 mph on the freeway so that you can strain and rubber neck to see what's going on. Move already!
