Weekend Wonderings
1. If you found out that you had an advanced stage of an illness (say something like cancer) and only had a few months to live, what would be your first thought? Do I have my personal and financial affairs in order? Those that need improvement, would receive my immediate attention. I would spend more time with family and friends and not sweat the small stuff.
2. If you had three days to do anything at all you wanted to do what would you do? I'd travel along the coast with my spouse and just have a great time. There'd be no travel agenda, just the freedom to vagabond for three days and see where we'd end up.
3. What do you think of assisted suicide? Is it humane? Should doctors/people who assist people in killing themselves be charged with murder? I've been in a situation where the person suffered greatly. When someone's experiencing nothing but pain, discomfort and unahppiness and asks to be freed from their illness/affliction, I think assisted suicide is the most humane act you can do.
Who wants to prolong their loved one's suffering? Who benefits from it? The surviving family and friends who can't/won't let go. Your loved one is suffering, for God's sake, help them. Those that perform the procedure should not be charged with murder, especially when the patient has asked to be freed from their misery.
