Take Me Back Tuesday

Let's go CD shopping!

Back in the day before the internet ruled the earth and people went to malls etc...

What was your favorite record store? Wow, I hadn't thought about Music Plus in eons. They were the ultimate music store for me and I would easily drop $50 each visit. I bought LPs, 45s, cassette tapes, cassette tape holders/carriers, CDs, black light poster art, audio/video cables, concert tickets, etc.

Are there any non-chain stores that you still frequent for your music needs? Non-chain? How about plain old CD stores? Let's see, I have Amoeba Records in Hollywood which is about twenty miles from me. I used to have used CD stores in my area called Penney Lane, but they're also "out of business".

What was your favorite "find" at your favorite store? Awesome concert seating. This is when you could camp out at the store and if you were fifth in line, you were fifth to buy your tickets. None of this junk of being assigned a random number: your fifth in line and given number 56. Right.

  1. Your answer to question 3 is the reason I buy all my tickets online anymore :(
