Superstitions
~ If something's going great don't talk about it because than it all goes to hell.
~ Don't wish something bad on someone else lest I bring it to my door.
~ If my gut feeling is fidgeting like crazy - go with it and trust it. Walk away!
~ If my mom tells me not to do something because she dreamt about it, I won't do it.

Personality Quirks
~ I have to pickles with a sandwich.
~ I always have milk/creme with hot tea.
~ I don't eat the yoke of an egg made sunny side up.

Traditions
~ Each family members birthday is an important and special day spent the way they'd like it!
~ We take a family road trip to the apples every autumn.
~ It isn't summer if we haven't BBQ'd once with the whole family.

It's here...

...vacation's finally arrived and I am ready. It's hard working year round while co-workers take time off, return and I'm still there. The flip side is that it's great to be away from the office for a chunk of time. There's nothing like completely clearing my head to help me gain perspective, etc.

Of course, this vacation is much different because I do not have my boy Buddah with me. This is the first vacation in fifteen years that I'm spending without him and I do miss him terribly. I miss him so much it hurts. I try to stay busy but it honestly doesn't help much. Every room of this house holds his memory.

We'll see what the Lord brings, right?

Twittering Gone Wild

It seems that all I do these days is Twitter because it's so darned convenient, fun and easy. What does it take to send a brief tweet covering what I'm into or where I'm at/going? Really, not much. I just plug my 140 characters text in my cell phone and press send. Photos can be sent via Twitpic for all to view. If you have a Twitter account please let me know your name so I can follow you. And no, I'm not a stalker!

Today feels like THE hottest day this spring and the gauge shows 98 degrees. I could do with a breeze every so often but it's not to be. I feel unsettled and adrift because my little Buddah isn't here. I miss him terribly and he would have loved today. It's a challenge to feel good about the heat because I feel so empty.

I found the proper cable to connect my iPod to the car's auxiliary connector. It has made a tremendous difference in listening experience because the audio quality is vastly superior. I wish all the car stereos had an AUX port. The iPod's almost filled to capacity which isn't a good thing.

I saw THE Sign

Saw this pick up tooling along Rosemead Bl. in Pasadena, CA and had to snap a photo. My passenger couldn't stop laughing as I followed this truck for 3 miles without catching a red light.

Finally the old guy turned into a strip mall, with me merrily following from one end to the next, until he stopped at Yoshinoya. My warped sense of humor wouldn't let this pass undocumented!
