Which Toy?

We needed provisions for the 'kids' so trekked to Centinela Feed where we saw these cute dog toys. Now we need to decide which one to buy to fill Charlie's (my mom's dog) stocking. Charlie's a Chihuahua/Mini-Greyhound mix so I'm leaning towards the reindeer, what's your vote?

A very Happy Mother's Day...

...to all the women who have children, as well as those who have "kids" from the critter kingdom. You know that without you and your care, your fur persons wouldn't survive and thrive.

Everyone have a fantastic day and enjoy yourselves. Be safe, have fun and spend time with your special someone.

Dia de Los Muertos

What caught my attention at this altar was the calavera (skeleton) of an elderly lady and beside her the calavera of a dog. Near them was a photo of a Siamese cat and mutt dog. Clearly this elderly woman loved her pets dearly and this is what her family recalled about her. Not many altars include the fur companions of decedents.

When I die and if I am fortunate enough to have an altar, I want Buddah's photo, a photo of Boo & me, an iPod/vinyl LP/CD to represent music, a drawing of a computer, and a hot cup of tea!
