I live in Southern California and live the digital lifestyle. I love technology, engage in social networks and thanks to the Amazon Kindle enjoy reading again. I listen to many podcasts and am interested in the paranormal. I don't go ghost hunting or anything like that, but I love reading, viewing and listening to a great fright!

I haven't been able to get away during lunch for sometime and so I was quite shocked when I managed to get to Olvera Street and admire the altars. They run the gamut from plain to extremely detailed providing a view into the life of the deceased.
Latino culture celebrates Dia De Los Muertos to as an acknowlegment of deaths role in life and to remember our dearly departed as we celebrate their ascension to something better.
While there were many observers, it seems fewer participants built altars and this left me feeling very sad. I hope this occurred because of poor coordination, rather than lost interest.

Skeletons with flowers on them. That's neat and odd in the same breath.
