Gmail Update

I've been using Gmail for about two weeks now and am quite pleased with it. One feature I'm totally jazzed about is message threads belonging to one subject, being grouped in one folder and collapsed into chronological order for easy reading. In my Yahoo and Hotmail accounts, the message threads are spread all over the place and separated. I must open each individual email.

Gmail allows 10 megabyte attachments. How many times has my Yahoo or Hotmail account bounced back attachments exceeding 2 megabytes? A lot! I've received many an angry email inquiring why my account is bouncing the email back. I can even send myself large files from work and not worry about it.

Now for the ads, they're the size of Google's regular text ads and are so unobtrusive, I forget they're there! Obviously, Yahoo's worried. They're increasing their mailbox per individual to 100 megabytes, in direct response to Google's 1 gigabyte. I don't know when Google's releasing Gmail to the public, but when they do, I would not hesitate securing an account.
