Yesterday, we drove to Temecula to visit my in-laws and celebrate Mother's Day. Thankfully, my spouse doesn't mind that we celebrate Mother's Day on Saturday (MIL)and Sunday (my mom). It makes it so much easier, less stressful and enjoyable. MIL elected to dine at a Mexican restaurant in Menefee. Don't ask me, she drove and drove and drove, finally arriving at our destination!

The food was atrocious. I've never tasted such bland, dry horrible food. Thankfully, she enjoyed her cheese enchiladas, even if they served her cheese, when she'd ordered chicken. All was not a total loss however, as we promptly made haste to a Marie Callendars and bought the special of the month the Lemon Drop pie. This saved the day!

As it was my godson's birthday on Friday, we phoned my our co-madre and inquired if it'd be alright for us to stop by and leave T. his gift. She welcomed us and arrived at 9 p.m. Yes, I know that was late, but seeing as how my co-madre is on the way home from my in-laws, the timing was perfect!

We had a wonderful visit and caught up on what's new. Her bathroom is finished; they tiled the tub and shower area. Six hundred tiles later, yep - she counted, it's a wonderful looking and functional bathroom. I'm so happy for her. Oh, and it now has electricity in the bathroom! When she bought the house and did the walk-through, she noted that the light fixture had no light bulb. It was never checked and after closing, realized that there was no electrical current to the bathroom.

The previous owners had cut the wiring - Lord, only knows why - and messed up the electricals in both the master bedroom and bathroom. It's been an expensive and labor intensive lesson, but I'm so happy that all is well for them. We finally arrived home at 12:30 a.m. and counted are blessings at having a great day!
