Sadly, I must report that my friend is leaving effective June 25th. I was so happy to receive his phone call and have an opportunity to talk about how much I'll miss him and how much I've enjoyed his friendship. I cried, but thankfully, he understood that I was sad and needed to work through this. We ended our conversation on a happy note and laughing.



He's receiving an early retirement package and I'm so glad. He's a wonderful person and dear friend and knowing that he is being treated fairly and well, did much to ease my concern. We're getting together for lunches between now and then and will try to figure out how best to maintain contact. He's horrible about corresponding via email and even worse about talking on the phone. Obviously, maintaining our friendship will have its challenges! LOL



He was laughing about all the Honey do.... projects his wife has kindly planned for him. She is an equally dynamic woman with a wonderful personality and I'll still see her around the job site. I told him that if he gave his wife any problems in completing the Honey do projects, I'd phone her during work hours and make additional suggestions!
