Phil Collins' Farewell Tour
We went to see Phill Collins at the Anaheim Arrowhead Pond. Now many of you how jazzed I've been with my binocular/digital camera combo. So off to the concert we went, binoculars in hand, eagerly anticipating a great evening.
Well let me tell you, we were not disappointed. Phil performed to a full house on his opening night and performed for two hours straight without any costume changes or extended song perfomances. He sang all of his hits and we had a fantastic time. His orchestration and renditions of his songs were absolutely wonderful.
He had a four person horn section and six back up singers. His rendition of In the Air at Night brought everyone to their feet and the lighting was perfectly sequenced to the music. As part of the finale, large colored paper streamers blasted the stage, adding to the evening's festiveness.
What about the binoculars, you might be wondering? In my wisdom I did not check the batteries. So upon arriving at the Pond and scoping the stage setup, etc. I realized that the camera function was inoperable! LOL All well, the best laid plans.
