Stateline Turnaround
Snacks are always an important component of any trip!
We went on the turnaround yesterday and had an absolutely great time. My neighbors Ica & Lety, sister Glo and comadre CCP enjoyed ourselves from start to finish. Everyone in our group was a winner because we either won at Bingo, raffle or on the machines. No one returned home a loser or disappointed. CCP is already set to return again and is now talking about going to Pechanga! LOL
Whew, a much needed pit stop in Barstow.
Photo opp during the pit stop! One happy crew read to bring home the moola!
Luckily for us, the three casinos (Buffalo Bill, Whiskey Pete's and Primm Valley) provided air conditioned shuttle service between the hotels via bus or monorail, so we were never sweltering in the heat. Though for me, it wasn't hot at all. I felt comfortable and happy to be in the heat and sun. On the other hand, turbo fan CCP and Glo, well, let's just say they could've been happier! LOL
First thing I saw pulling into stateline casinos. Help, they're everywhere!
More buses and recreation vehicles with occupants hoping to strike it big.
Also, the Primm Valley casino has an outlet mall in its complex, so we spent time there looking around and shopping. It was so convenient and comfortable, not like the old days when the bus would deposit you at one casino where you were watched and expected to remain for the duration of your visit.
Who doesn't need a massage (see center) or something to buy?
Here, we were able to wander wherever we wished unchaperoned. I suppose we could've split the cab fare and taken the 25 minute drive into downtown Vegas proper, but it wasn't necessary. Everything we needed to occupy our minds, time and, dare I say, money, was at stateline!
A good way to end a great day: snacks for the two films we'll watch on the ride home!
