The Weather
Well, all the Doppler radar and computers did not help our weathermen forecast rain Saturday night. I was at Santa Monica in mid afternoon where it was sunny with a slight breeze. About thirty minutes of shooting photos and storm clouds arrived, hiding the sun and causing winds. Do you think our local meteorologist's said rain? No. By 10:30 p.m. it began raining buckets and it continued through the night.
MIL phoned this a.m. in a very excited voice to say they received a dusting of snow. It's all melted away by now, but considering she lives in the lower desert, it's very remarkable that it happened at all. I can't help but think of the film The Day After Tomorrow and how the melting of the polar ice caps and global warming is affecting the climate.
It is so cold today (we're in the mid-forties) and I awoke with bad back, shoulder and neck pain - that we decided to cancel attending the The Doo Dah Parade. I don't want to get sick or exacerbate my arthritis pain. I want to feel good this holiday! LOL
