Candle light Vigil

People have gathered aroung the corner all day creating a memorial for a second grader who was struck and killed this morning on his way to school. From the moment I pulled to the curb and observed the gathering, I knew it couldn't be good. As night fell, I could see the candle light and swelling crowd.

About two years past the intersection of today's fatality was made a four way stop. Yet, cars still speed up and down the street and many do not come to a complete stop. The poor child never had a chance as the vehicle was an SUV, poor second grader must have been struck by the SUV's grill.

Remember to say "I love you" to your loved ones. We only have the present moment.
