10 Great Commercials
~ The Travelocity gnome. That little dude travels everywhere, getting massages, having his baggage handled, etc. and he's too cute. I love it when he's getting a facial and has little cucumbers on his eyes!
~ Charter Communications Cable has Tom, the average computer user who clicks on everything he receives or sees. "Hey, I've got email from the Netherlands!" Click. "Hey!" (skull and crossbones flash on his screen). "What? Who's Nobuku?" Click. "No!" (he gets the blue screen). Reminds me of many a computer user I know. LOL
~ Air freshner commercial (the brand escapes me), where the husband is in the living room farting it up. The wife enters to find a fan attached to the dog's tail. Each wag of his tail results in a swat diffusing the fart odor.
~ The Geek Squad has the Soccer Mom whose computer has just crashed as she tries to print. The camera zooms away from the house's interior as we hear the woman scream "NOOOOOOO!" The black and white VW Geek Squad cars zoom to the rescue. I've had my share of NOOOOOOOOOOO! moments, so I can relate qute well. ;-)
~ SBC Communications trying drum up DSL subscribers shows a homeowner in his bathrobe approaching his den. Seated in the den is another man surfing the net and answering email at blazing speed. The homeowner asks, "What are YOU doing here?" "Oh, I thought I'd drop in before you got up to use your computer." The homeowner looks out his window at the house next door and asks, "Have you even gone home!?!"
~ Honda commercial which shows two men, each in a stall sitting on the commode. Man 1 is speaking into his cell phone. He asks a question and Man 2 responds to Man 1's question. This goes on until finally Man 1 tells his caller, "I'll call you back. Some fool in the next stall keeps answering!"
~ All of the commercials for the iPod have been great. Even their billboards adverts are cool.
~ The Oscar Mayer weiner commercial where they sing "Oh I wish I were an Oscar Mayer weiner..." is too cute with the children and their high little voices. These have been around forever.
~ The Jack in the Box commercials are pretty funny. Not only for their visuals but also the dialogue is quite witty. Mr. Jack has some terrific comebacks.
~ Oh yea, the one with the dog and cat left alone in the house while the human goes to work. What pet owner can't relate to that? Anyway, the human returns home to find the house all torn up. It's funny and the animals are quietly lying about looking like angels! LOL
RE: Geek Squad
ReplyDeleteThere's a place on the net called ThinkGeek. As soon as they get bigger t-shirts for gorillas, I plan on getting seven of the t-shirt with the words "No, I will not fix your computer." One for each day of the week.

Nice list, by the way.
