Saturday Senses
I guess I´m feeling techie/geeky this week - and also posting early for a change. ;-)
[sight]:: What is the most visual stunning website you know? I don't believe I know of one. Most of the sites I frequent are text/content based. The visual appeal is secondary or non-existent.
[taste]:: Can you order any kind of food through the web from where you live? Have you ever ordered? I order a lot of food items through QVC or HSN TV shopping networks. Once I'm familiar with the company, then I'll reorder via the web. I've found anything I've ever wanted!
[smell]:: With the digital scent technology developing, what would you like to smell over the internet and how do you think this will affect how we interact with the web? Food items. It would be wonderful to smell the brisket of beef or bbq ribs or snow ball cookies I'm interested in ordering. Being able to smell it before I buy it, would be just the enticement needed!
[touch]:: How fast do you type and what kind of mouse do you use? I type at 60 wpm and I use a regular wheel mouse. I know about the optical mouse, etc, but it;s just not that important to me.
[hearing]:: Have you ever paid for downloading music from the internet? Do you usually hear music while you surf the net? What kind? Streaming or local? I do listen to music when I'm surfing or at the computer. Primarily CDs, but when I'm looking for new and interesting music I go to www.radioparadise.com. It's streaming music and it's always eclectic and fresh!
I have not paid for downloading music, yet. I'm a real stickler about the quality and sound of the music. To me, MP3s don't cut it. The quality isn't good enough. Also, I'm still on dial up, yeah - I know bummer, but that's my reality. I'm not online enough to justify paying for broadband. Downloading music would take too long, so I still buy CDs. I like to have the packaging and liner notes and the sound quality can't be beat!
