It's time for dinner and tonight's meal will take about two hours to cook. We have a great grocery store named Bristol Farms nearby (I'm sure many of you are familiar with it) and their quality is exceptional. We bought a chicken to prepare for dinner and as my spouse was unwrapping him (yes, its sex has been identified), a note introduced our bird of choice as Rocky Jr..
Is Rocky Jr.'s identification supposed to make us feel warm and fuzzy about him, so that we no longer desire to eat him? I mean, either way, he's dead already, right? What difference does it make if we consume him or someone else? I just found it ironic and funny that my chicken has a name. Does yours???
