Freeway Shootings
In case those outside of California haven't heard, we're experiencing a spate of freeway shootings and many folks are concerned about travel. I know I worry, but exactly how does one "remain on the lookout" and traverse the freeway at 60 plus mph? One survivor reported being fired upon from behind. Sure, I can observe the over pass as I approach, but I'd be freaking out if I attempted to watch every car as it pulled alongside me in lanes to my left and right and drive.
I was reminded of the sniper shootings in the mid-west in 2004? Folks were being killed as they drove along the highway. I'm speaking of a sniper who I believe was a teenager, not the Malvo case. I don't know if these killers get their ideas from TV shows and/or movies or simply are copycats. Either way, peope are being murdered or seriously injured and it's a miracle that others haven't been affected as cars careen off the road. The Highway Patrol has increased patrols on all freeways, but I know I'm not alone when I say that no one will be at ease until arrests are made. We need these people stopped.
