Baker's Dozen
- Ah yes, a double scoop ice cream sundae on a hot spring day. Now that's the ticket!
- Checking out the newest small business in my city: iSold it! An eBay trading assistant seller. After cleaning the garage, I have stuff to sell and uh, unload. These businesses are sprouting up like weeds. Let's see how long they last. We have three within a 10 mile radius.
- Loving my cable's VOD option and enjoying season one of Showtime's Huff.
- Fry's had disappointing sales this week, so I guess Boo is happy.
- Wooo, a delicious homemade pizza and Henry Wiengard's Vanilla Cream soda. Used to be one had to travel to the specialty soda pop store in Highland Park. Thankfully, Ralph's market is now carrying the sodas.
- Grocery shopping with Mom and dining at our former favorite Chinese restaurant. Seems subtle changes like new server staff, smaller portions and a decrease in food quality spelled its demise for us. The restaurant's matron has passed responsibility to number one son.
- Yea, we're finally back at our favorite Farmer's Market for pozole. Our jam man hooked spouse up with apricot jam.
- Divesting myself of videos I already have in DVD. I'm trying to streamline and simplify. Let someone else enjoy Con Air, The Rock and Rumble in the Bronx.
- We have a litter of three kittens hanging around our house. They meow for attention, but upon spotting humans, run like the dickens! I do not want to encourage them to stay, so we have not fed or petted them. It's hard standing my ground, though. LOL
- Dropping off our first eBay item for auction: a leaf blower at the i-Sold It Trading Assistant store. I haven't the time or patience for shipping and handling, long lines at the post office, responding to email inquiries, etc. iSold It takes care of everything. Items must be assessed at a minimum $30 value or iSold It won't accept it. Auctions last for one week only, with no reserve bid option, so I'll report back on my experience.
- Celebrating the Memorial Day holiday by feasting on crab cakes, BBQ'd steaks marinated in mom's secret recipe, baked potatoes, roasted corn on the cob and a oh so decadent Banberry pie from Polly's. Yea baby, let's herald Summer!
- We're finally doing it....we're dumping dial up for DSL. A local company is offering an outstanding rate to customers of one particular Bell company. We qualify and we're jumping ship. I'll hate losing the email address I've had for 13 years but, everything's impermanent anyway.
