We're in the mix now...
My little computing companion and supervisor!
Everything's progressing just fine and things are running smoothly. Luckily for spouse, unfortunately for me, Fry's didn't have anything enticing in today's ad. I was so hoping they'd offer a hard drive Windows based MP3 player at an unbeatable price. Alas, the ad's pretty lame this week. Although, with Memorial Day around the corner, I'm hoping they pull out all the stops!
Mojo was telling me about Mr. Wallaby and his 15 year old daughter's birthday gift. He bought her a Rio MP3 player (not sure what capacity, but at least 5 gigs), which cost about $250. Well, daughter opened it, copied songs to it, and promptly dropped it - yea, it's a dead door stop! Daughter had it all of one day - one day.
So Mojo suggested Mr. Wallaby contact Rio and tell them it was defective and he'd like another. Instead, he was honest and told the rep that daughter dropped it. Rio told him they could only exchange for a refurbished unit. Mr. Wallaby told his daughter to pack the Rio up, address and ship it. This was three weeks ago and to date, daughter's done nothing towards exchanging the unit.
Moral: When you don't have to pay for something, you don't care how much it cost. And care even less about taking care of it. It's no sweat off of your brow, so why care?!
