Parking in L.A.
Those of us who Live and Die in L.A. (as the movie's titles says), know that L.A. has a parking shortage that inevitably causes problems. Coupled with the fact that Angelenos are in love with their wheels - the bigger the better - this leads to some unique situations.
Parking nightmares/confrontations are the result of inconsiderate and lazy drivers. They want the parking space nearest the entrance - don't we all - and, since these spots are usually designated Compact, they squeeze in and force their SUV to fit. Great. Someday I'll snap a photo of the contortionist SUV driver exited the vehicle.
The poor person parked on either side of said SUV, must squeeze and contort their body to enter their vehicle or wait for the SUV driver to move their hog. Never mind that their inconsiderateness and rudeness has impacted another person, they got that coveted parking space.
Well, LAist has come up with a solution that I absolutely love and have already used. If you're fed up and tired of parking hogs, you may want to print this out and actually use it! Mine are printed on goldenrod colored paper because I want them to stand out! LOL
