Feline Thursday
Can't stand the idea of never allowing your cat outside? Train her to walk on a leash and harness.
Such is our dilemma as Little Girl adopted us and we've been unable to train her as we have Buddah. She must remain an outdoor cat because Buddah will not accept, let alone tolerate, another cat in the house. He is accustomed to being the lone alpha and I can't see forcing a huge change on him.
She's been de-fleaed and is more skittish than ever, a result of truly being out in the elements for six months. She's eating like a horse and resting comfortably on her comforter in the garage. She is anxious to go outdoors and has wandered out twice, but immediately runs back inside at the slightest sound. It's sad to see her so scared, especially after we'd initially spent months gaining her trust.
awww! I think sometimes they sense when there is a larger more predatory alpha cat around (other than yours) or a dog, fox, or whatever wandering around.. poor thing! Give her smooches for me?
ReplyDeleteElena...email me...there's something in a catalog that I have that might be a help for her. Or look up The Lakeside Collection online. There was an outdoor cat tunnel that may be good for her. It was only about 20 bucks too.
ReplyDeleteMistress, I appreciate your help and suggestions, will do.
