Online Community

There is a large segment of society that believes an online community is an oxymoron and I really feel it's their loss. I've been online since 1984 and it has been a fun, liberating and educational experience. I've met fascinating people that I would not have crossed paths with otherwise. I've made wonderful friendships and yes, I believe they are friends in the truest sense.

I began thinking about this after reading Mistresses comment to Thursday's post about our Little Girl dilemma. I checked Lakeside Collections and I think it might work.

It's like a cat runner only much smaller in scale (Max would turn up his nose at this! LOL), but very suitable for our needs and area.

Here are the specs:
Give your cat the freedom it deserves with this tunnel.

* The outdoor cat tunnel (80" x 20" x 15") is a great way to let your cat roam outside without worrying about it wandering off.
* Stretched on a sturdy wire frame, the polyester mesh gives your cat maximum visibilty.
* Weather-resistant tunnel folds for easy storage.
* Your pet will get the fresh air and exercise it needs to be healthy and happy!

Sadly, because Little Girl has no front claws, she's unable to claw her way out of the runner while receiving the benefit of being "outdoors".

I'm very excited about this recommendation and can't wait to discuss it with Boo. Now to bring this full circle, I would not have known about this solution had my friend Mistress not come to my aid and suggested it. She shared because she cared and we have formed an online community among blog readers/bloggers.

Mistress lives on the east coast and I on the west yet, we have managed to bond, share and care and I think that is a beautiful thing. Especially with so much anger and disconnectedness in real life. It's great having a place to share, connect, learn and laugh!

  1. I love the idea of it! max would probably love it because he can see through it much better.. he has trellis to peer out through at the moment. But he'd claw out of it in 5 secs flat. :S Great idea for little girl though. :) Hopefully it'll protect her a bit if there is a naughty kitty out there picking arguments with her.

  2. So glad I could help out. It's pretty reasonable and Lakeside is a decent company. I've ordered from them before.
