David Cassidy

Yea I know, it even seems lame in the title, right? No matter, I can admit to having had a gigantic crush on none other. The posters. The teen magazines. Being glued to the TV in giddy anticipation of the Partridge Family show. I was there and I will someday see him perform in Vegas. Yea I know, time to get the ol' head checked.

David's biggest competition was Bobby Sherman. He also had a singing career and starred in a TV series named Here Come the Brides. I believe David Soul of Starkey & Hutch fame starred alongside Bobby. I don't know, Bobby never did much for me. He didn't have David's dreamy hair, slightly crooked teeth and mischievous smile.

So why am I reminiscing about David Cassidy tonight. Probably because tomorrow's his birthday and I figure he must be 50 or slightly over. He still looks good to me and he was probably my first serious crush. How I wish I had kept some of that stuff. Can you imagine what it would be worth? Ugh, I'm dying!
