Thank God for music!

Riding the subway and observing two friends sitting silently together. They're each in their separate world listening to their MP3 players, oblivious to everyone else. I sit and watch them, ear buds firmly planted in my ears and note that six rows away, three males are saying something. I pause my player to listen and realize they're acting like buffoons. So much noise pollution, thank God for buds and music!
