Top 5 Road Trip Albums
Led Zepplin Physical Graffiti one of my all time favorites and one that I know all the songs to. It's been a staple of mine for so long and been the soundboard for numerous experiences. It's a dear old friend and one I never, ever tire of.
The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band another one that's been around the block a few times with me. Again, I know all the songs and sing my heart out to them!
Elton John Goodbye Yellow Brick Road love Funeral for a Friend and this is Elton's most definitive album. It is Elton at his best!
El Chicano Viva Tirado an oldie but goodie that's primarily instrumental and allows my mind to wander and take in my environment as I aimlessly roam.
John Lennon & Yoko Ono Double Fantasy the final CD Lennon & Ono made before John's murder. A tragedy no matter which way you look at it.
I have to confess that coming up with five road trip CDs was quite challenging. It's amazing to realize how much of the music I listen to are custom mixes. I don't believe that I listen to a single CD in its entirety anymore. As an example, a disco CD should definitely be on the list, actually number one on the list, but I didn't include it because it's a mix. I don't have one store bought CD that comprises my disco music. So this was an eye opening, fun challenge and you've made me aware of my pattern.
