Billboard Advertising
All's been going well this week as far as there being no attempted rapes. There have been no arrests and no more sightings, but the increased vigilance and patrolling is welcomed. Seems like everywhere I drive there's construction: Construction of buildings, new underground piping, road maintenance (hopefully, less potholes!), new island/road easements, etc. I allow extra time anticipating delays and imagine that it's like this everywhere.
Since my speed has slowed to a crawl, I've seized the opportunity to notice the environment. I'm sure you've all heard/read about various neighborhood organizations/groups demanding changes in billboard advertising. Many believe themselves to be unfairly targeted by alcohol advertisers because of their economic status and ethnicity. So along my drive I made it a point to count and look for alcohol related ads.
These two billboards were viewed seven times in a three mile stretch of north east Los Angeles. So you tell me, is it excessive advertising?
