Friday Feast

Appetizer

If you were a color, which color would you be, and why? Purple because it's vibrant, colorful and an action color.

Soup

When was the last time you went to the doctor, and what was your reason for going? About two weeks past because I had strep throat.

Salad

What do you collect? Hmmm, Disneyland pins. I don't collect pens, but I do confess to a pen fetish.

Main Course

What were you like in high school? Name one thing you miss and one thing you don't miss about those days. (If you're still there, imagine how you'll remember it in the future.) I was crazy and a party gal. Lot's of concerts, clubbing and cutting class. I miss the frivolity of it all. I don't miss the homework!

Dessert

Pretend you're standing in front of your home, with your back towards your home. Describe the view - what can you see? Trees? Cars? A zoo? Wal-Mart? I see trees, cars, more homes and few empty parking spaces! I see the house on the corner where my neighbor lost two dogs in one year. Both had been struck by cars while strolling. Most unfortunate for my elderly neighbor.

Next to him, I see the cemented front yard of my neighbor, who pulled all the grass up about ten years past. This is a boomer couple who enjoy parking on what used to be their front lawn. They have a very nice garage but never use it or their driveway leading to the backyard.

Next to them are condominiums with several residents. These folks amaze me; without fail, about every three months they discard mattresses - three or so at a time. They just toss them on the curb and assume they'll be hauled by the waste company. Thankfully, they are. Our city has designated dates for hauling away large/heavy items (like mattresses). I am so grateful they don't adhere to it and relieve the rest of us of the eyesore!
