Vacation's All I Ever Wanted...



If you take some "time off", do you need to travel elsewhere to feel as if you've vacationed? I feel like I've vacationed even if I've remained at home. The break in the daily schedule (i.e. staying up late, rising late, going to the theater mid-day) makes me feel liberated! I'm happy, stress free and enjoying my freedom.



When vacationing is it necessary to have an itinerary or do you play it by ear? A little of both. I like planning some things ahead (i.e. tours of popular tourist traps), but I also like having the day free to explore unexpected finds or surprises. If it's too regimented, then I feel like I'm keeping a work schedule.
