The Eagles Concert

We hadn't been to an Eagles concert since the Hell Freezes Over Tour in the nineties. We drove to San Diego to see them and at that time, it was a good concert. After last night's concert, the Hell Freezes Over Tour pales in comparison.

This go round, the guys were in fine form (last night's being their fifth concert in the L.A. area) and seemed to genuinely enjoy themselves and have a good, fun time. The song arrangements were awesome, with an excellent sound system, fantastic camera work and a band that was ready to rock.

They seemed to have the synergy flowing and were in tune with each other, the music and the audience. Gone was the awkwardness and disconnectedness that existed on the Hell Freezes Over tour. These guys had exorcised their individual demons and played some damn good music!

The first set they played for one hour, then took a fifteen minute break. They began the second set by showing video footage of the band from the seventies. Then they played for an hour and 45 minutes and did three encores, each consisting of two songs. Desperado was the final song of the encores.

They also sang two new songs: One Day at a Time written for the tragedy of 9/11 and No More Cloudy Days a lovely ballad about relationships. As many concerts as we've attended together, Boo has never demonstrated so much emotion and elation. I thought I had a new spouse sitting beside me! LOL

  1. Thank you for allowing me to let loose. You know how hard that is for me. But with you I can really be me. What more could I ask for?
