This was a good weekend for new music. I bought three CDs this weekend: Fiona Apple Extraordinary Machine, Nickelback All the Right Reasons, Franz Ferdinand You Could have it so much Better and one Halloween themed DVD When a Stranger Calls. I've been enjoying Fiona's CD and fail to understand why the studio wouldn't release it. It's like five years old and further proof of their being out of touch. I haven't listened to the others yet, been to busy enjoying Fiona.

I acutally drove via freeway to work today. It's been at least a year since I've driven the freeway during weekday morning rush hour. It's usually a parking lot, but being that today's Columbus Day, city, state, financial and postal employees have the day off. Ironically, school's in session, so the kids got a bum deal. I was elated to breeze down the freeway and shave ten minutes off my commute!
