10 Best Presents You've Received
~ The statue of Kwan Yin.
~ The statue of Buddha, zafu and zabuton. Everyone needs a space and I have mine.
~ My wedding band. We designed them and had them inscribed. I treasure these.
~ What I consider my first real computer: Apple's 128K Macintosh. Until then, all previous computer incarnations were jokes. Yes, this includes the Timex Sinclair 1000 and Commodore 64.
~ An external hard drive for my then blazing 512K Macintosh. Yup, this is back in 1985 when external drives were 60 megabytes for $400. I wanted one very badly and Boo bought it for me. I truly believed I'd never fill it!
~ My first color TV in my own place. I rushed home to watch Entertainment Tonight and see the Celebrating a Birthday photos in color. Alas, the photos were in B&W and Boo laughed quite heartily.
~ My driver's license. This is the best gift I've given myself.
~ The first stereo system my mom bought me. It was a multi-unit system that was set up in my bedroom. Oh, many a day was spent being admonished to "Turn that music DOWN!" LOL
~ My first Family Bible that dad gave me. It's huge, has pictures and is a rarity these days. Poor dad, I didn't appreciate it than, as I do now. Sorry, dad.
~ My walking monkey. He was a stand up Monkey, replete with cymbals, that would walk and move. He stood about 2 -3' tall and I thought he was the rage. I got him for Christmas while recuperating from a tonsilectomy.
