Simon & Garfunkel Concert

I have never seen so many baby boomers gathered at one location! LOL That's what you saw, a sea of boomers enjoying themselves to the wonderful music of S&G. I have also never seen so many people at the Hollywood Bowl. One usher commented that the Bowl seats 20,000 and the crowd was at 17,000.

Getting to the Bowl was an adventure in itself. Traffic and parking is so difficult and limited at the Bowl so, many concert goers pay and take shuttle buses from surrounding communitites. I arrived at the shuttle location at 6:30 p.m. and was shocked to see 300 plus people waiting in line to board! We waited, and waited, and waited until boarding at 8:10 p.m. The concert was slated to begin at 8:30 p.m. and thankfully, didn't start until 8:50 p.m. We arrived in time and just kept our picnic basket at our side!

It was a wonderful concert with Simon & Garfunkel performing all their hits. At one point, Garfunkel stopped speaking and, looking into the audience, commented "Shall we wait? I hear a cellphone ringing. It must be important!" The audience laughed with some booing the cell phone attendee and my spouse said, "this could only happen in L.A.!"
