The Great Re-Wiring Adventure

The owners finally rewiring the electric meter and fuse box for moving outside. Right now, everything's inside the house and the electric company's always complained about having difficulty reading the meter. Why the owner's decided now, I'll never know. We've been here in excess of 7 years. The electrician arrived and proceeded to drill outside, preparing the wall for the new fuse box and two meters. All is good and we're merrily enjoying our day. I've turned off and disconnected all electrical devices, anticipating the power being turned off.

Without notice, the electrician and his helper were in the utility porch knocking holes in the wall! I asked him how many more holes did he plan on making and if the wall he was currently ruining would be the only one? He answered that he'd make a couple more holes and yes, this would be the sole wall affected. I don't know why, but the act of hearing the plaster crack and crumble to the floor was very upsetting to me. Granted, this isn't my house. I don't own it, so it's no skin off my nose, right? They finished phase one around 1:00 p.m. and went upstairs to start on Sissy's.

Meanwhile, we're cleaning house and getting ready to dine at Outback for Emmet's birthday celebration. Since I was ahead of the curb, I decided to reconnect all the electrical devices and was dismayed to find that the notebook wireless card no longer connects to the wireless router! @)($(^%$)W! Of all the unlucky breaks, this challenge just makes me bloody wonky! I've been troubleshooting off and on to no avail.
