Randomness

Whew, I was having a heck of a time posting last night. I had everything ready to post but Blogger was super slow and kept giving me the error No Data Found. Anyone else having problems? I finally gave up and didn't bother to Sign Out. I just closed the damn browser out of frustration.

We celebrated Emmet's birthday last night, so I didn't go online until quite late. We spent a lot of time laughing at unfortunate circumstances resulting from jealous ex-mates. It's a blast to look back and wonder in amazement "what ever - EVER - attracted me to them?!" It's one of those deer-in-the-headlight moments, know what I mean? It seems most ex-mates are on their second or third marriages, with one looking very much like the female doctor in the original Planet of the Apes. It's also an eye opener and fantastic way of reminding oneself not to repeat the same mistake again. LOL

The gals found plenty of humor in this, without libations. Thus, we ensued on another subject...doing the happy hour get together with co-workers. The horror story of a few boozers with huge appetites and blabbing mouths flowed. We all agreed that the blabbers are the worst. They can make office life unbearable, spilling all the sordid details with liberal embellishments so the gossip will spread like wild fire. The Vegas slogan: "What happens in Vegas, stays in Las Vegas" should apply to happy hour rendevous!

One celebration down and another to follow on Saturday night. We were supposed to watch Diary of a Mad Black Woman, but the gals wanted to chat instead. Mind you, it's not like we haven't chatted in days. We do nothing but chat and laugh. Times are good and I'm feeling very blessed.

  1. Chatting and laughing makes life worth living. I am grateful to have someone in my life who enjoys doing just that. Thank you and I love you!

  2. By ex mates you mean like ex partners or ex friends? Aussies refer to friends as mates so I wasn't entirely sure. I'm assuming ex partners though... Oh I'm sooo with you... it's almost like seeing your own life and TASTE evolve then running into one of the very first apelike men from the dawn of time and thinking aiieeee did I DATE THAT ONCE? and shuddering lots.
