Twi
Seems to be adjusting to the department and the department to her. She's been with us almost two months, so I gave her a homework assignment last night. "Twi," I said, "I'm giving you a homework assignment for tonight. I want you to go home and think about things you can talk about tomorrow." Why would I do such a thing?
Well, Twi takes a handful of medications and is pretty much in a stupor. I give her enormous credit for coming to work daily and working. I honestly don't know how she does it, but she doesn't interact much. Occasionally she laughs, but she rarely initiates conversation.
Anyway, she came in today and she talked and talked and talked and it was a refreshing change. We have music in common and that's been great, but it's equally nice to talk. I miss that with Boop. We could talk about everything and anything. Twi's going to take some work, but I'm determined to get her up to speed. She seems more alert now and her work is outstanding, regardless. I just miss having a partner that I can talk to and laugh with. That's not so bad, is it?
